ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE C' SELECTION COMPETITION FOR THE INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS COMPETITIONS

NEW DATE AND EXAMINATION CENTERS

Dear students, we have been informed that on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the same time with the C' Selection Competition there is also an exam for the Physics Olympiad and the Biology Olympiad. For this reason, the Cyprus Mathematical Society Board decided to change the day of the C' Selection Competition exam for Gymnasium and Lyceum students, so that no student loses the opportunity to participate. 

The new date for the C' Selection Competition for the International Mathematics Competitions IMO, BMO and JBMO 2021, is Monday, May 17, 2021, at 15:00 - 19:30.

There will be an exam center in almost every district. 

Exam Centers:

Nicosia DIstrict - Latsia Lyceum

Limassol District - Polemidia Lyceum

Larnaka and Famagusta district - Vegina Lyceum in Larnaka

Pafos District - A' Lyceum Ethnarchis Makarios C' 

Participation right in the C' Selection Competition have all the students who have qualified from the Pancyprian Mathematics Competitions, that took place on the 28th of February 2021.

Students must be at the exam center at least 20 minutes earlier than the time the exam starts. 

During the exam, as well as during the entry and exit of students in the examination centers, the rules of Safety and Health Protocol, valid during the day of the exam, will be applied. All students have to present to the test center a negative rapid test result with validity of 72 hours. 

• It is mandatory for the students of the Gymnasium and Lyceum to wear a mask inside and outside the examination rooms.
• All Gymnasium and Lyceum students (Grades 7-12), have to present to the test center a negative rapid test result with validity of 72 hours. 
• The students body temperature will be measured upon entering the Examination Center.
• The contestants will enter the examination center alone, without being accompanied by their parents. The organizers will direct students to their examination room.
• Parents will be waiting outside the school/examination center.
