Dear colleagues, members and non-members of MASSEE,

Thank you for expressing your interest in participating in the 39th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad – BMO 2022, organized by the Cyprus Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Society of South-Eastern Europe. The 39th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad – BMO 2022 is planned to be organized with physical presence, in Agros, Cyprus from 4 to 9 May 2022. The Host Organizer of the Olympiad is the Cyprus Mathematical Society (CYMS). The contest will take place on Friday, 6 of May 2022.

Regulations: A team may consist of up to 6 students, a Leader and a Deputy leader. Students must have been born after 9 May 2002 and must be secondary school students. The regulations for BMO 2022 are announced in the www.cms.org.cy website (BMO 2022 banner). The deadline for submitting the registration form of participation is 8 April 2022.

Problem proposals: Each country can send up to five (5) problem proposals until 4 April 2022. Problem proposals must be written in English. Problem submissions in LaTeX are encouraged but the use of MS Word documents (doc or docx), with Times New Roman font, formulas in Equation or Math Type 6+ is also acceptable. Problem proposals must be sent at: christofidesdemetres@gmail.com and cms1@cms.org.cy.

Participation fee information: The participation fee per non-member country is 500 euro per student (students in triple rooms) and 500 for teachers, observers or accompany persons sharing a double room or 650 euros for teachers, observers or accompany persons for single room, for the official period (arrivals 4 May, departures 9 May 2022). Your delegation will cover the expenses incurred during the visit to Cyprus, including roundtrip air tickets to Larnaca International Airport and health insurance. Accommodation/food and local transport is included in the participation fee. The participation fee has to be pre-paid to the Cyprus Mathematical Society (CYMS).

After you send your registration form you will receive an invoice in order to proceed with the payment of the registration fees. The invoice will include all the Bank details you need to know.
