INFORMATION FOR THE 23rd CYPRUS MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD 2022

23rd Cyprus Mathematical Olympiad

The Cyprus Mathematical Society announces below information for the students who have registered and will participate in the 23rd Cyprus Mathematical Olympiad 2022, to be held on Sunday 10 April 2022.

Following yesterday's sms message, those who haven't already noted their information and exam room, should be at the exam center of their District on time (at least 1 hour before) in order to be informed by the managers of the test center. 

The exam centers and hours of exam for each level are shown below. 

 

Sunday 10 April 2022

Gymnasium and Lyceum Levels 

A' - B' Gymnasium - Competition hours: 10:00 - 11:00 

C' Gymnasium - A' Lyceum - Competition hours: 10:00 - 11:00 

B' - C' Lyceum - Competition hours: 10:00 - 11:00 

 

Primary School Levels 

3rd - 4th Grade Primary School - Competition hours: 12:30 - 13:30 

5th - 6th Grade Primary School - Competition hours: 12:30 - 13:30

 

Exams centers in each District: 

Limassol - Laniteio Lyceum

Larnaca - Vergina Lyceum

Ammochostos - Paralimni Lyceum

Paphos - Kykkos Lyceum 

*Nicosia - Latsia Lyceum for all students of all levels of Cymnasium and Lyceum (levels 7 to 12)

** For Nicosia District, students of all levels of Primary School should find the exam center they belong to according to their school's name (either Latsia Lyceum or Forum Private School)

Students must have with them their Identification card or passport or birth certificate (for the primary school students who do not have an ID), in order to be able to check their identity.

Due to the special circumstances with the Covid-19 virus, we ask you to read carefully below the instrunctions and the special Security and Health Protocol for the organization of the Cyprus Mathematical Olympiad.

At the entrance of the examination center we will have a safe pass check. 

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOL

STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE EXAM

In order to ensure the best conditions for Safety and Health, both for the students and for the people who will be working for the execution of the examination, parents are kindly requested to comply with the instructions of the coordinators of the examination centers. Parents will not be allowed to enter the examination areas. Parents may accompany their kids upto the exam center entrance, which may be the entrance of the school or a special place that will be indicated. Parents will be able to receive the students after the end of the competition from the same place they dropped them.

  • All candidates should be at the EXAM CENTER 1 hour earlier and in the exam room 20 minutes prior to the examination.
  • It is mandatory for ALL the students of ALL levels (Primary School, Gymnasium and Lyceum) to wear a mask inside and outside the examination rooms.
  • All students of ALL levels (Primary School, Gymnasium and Lyceum), have to present to the test center a valid safe pass in order to be able to attend the exam:
  1. A negative PCR or Rapid test with a 72-hour validity period. 
  2. Certificate of complete Vaccination (two doses) for Covid-19. 
  3. Certificate of Recovery form Covid-19 with a validity period of 3 months.
  • A student that is a contact of a positive COVID-19 case, can attend the exam with a negative rapid test of the same day (Sunday, 10 April 2022).
  • It is understood that students who will not present one of the above certificates or their certificate is not valid on the day of the examination, will not be accepted in the examination centers.

We would like to inform you that there will be no cafeteria in the examination centers, so it would be good for the students to have a bottle of water with them.
